Paul Pogba Out of the FA Cup Squad Against Reading
Manchester United interim manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, had said that Paul Pogba could be forced to miss the FA Cup clash against Reading due to the knock he received during their last match with Newcastle United.
Paul Pogba was involved in a heavy challenge with Jonjo Shelvey during the 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday and that might rule him out of the third-round tie at Old Trafford next Saturday.
However, Solskjaer affirmed that Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, who haven't had much games under their belt lately, will start the FA cup match.
In his words, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said during a news conference on Friday, “I’m not sure if Paul is going to be ready. He got a knock against Newcastle".
“If [Marouane] Fellaini gets through the session [on Friday] it’s more or less a full squad. There will be a few changes and they’ll get a chance. Some of them are itching now to play of course.
“Lukaku and Sanchez will start. That’s important for them because they need more game time”.
Man United defenders, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo, have been ruled out of the Saturday clash due to injury.
