Boko Haram: Troops Kill 6 Boko Haram Insurgents, Rescue Some Women
Members of the Nigerian Military killed six Boko Haram militants on Thursday and demolished their safehouses at Gawa and Boskoro towns of Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.
Army spokesman, Brig.- Gen. Sani Usman, released a statement saying that the valiant troops also rescued three women at Boskoro, who had been handed over to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp authorities at Dikwa.
They recovered three pieces of 36 hand grenade, four Dane guns, 26 round of the anti-aircraft ammunition, three gas cylinders and a set of bow and arrow.
Usman said the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj.-Gen. Benson Akinroluyo also lauded the troops and charged them to be more daring in clearing suspected terrorists’ hideouts
